James did a terrific job of capturing my Queer Joy at our semi-annual variety show.
I have the privilege of being included in this benefit show for the Your Legacy Project.
“The Death Cabaret is the annual benefit show for Angel Action Atlanta’s Your Legacy project. Angel Action Atlanta has, for fifteen years, stood as a symbol of compassion against queerphobia at PRIDE celebrations around Georgia and at several of our community member’s funerals. We are in our fourth year working toward providing our community, especially our transgender family’s, dying and death care as guides through the processes. Our longer term goal is to also assist with those in need within the carceral system.”
Videographer Mordecai Lecky produced this work in collaboration with Raqs Razi and myself.
We had the pleasure of working with a brilliant photographer, Steve Thackston. His eye is excellent and his work is some of the best we have had done!
